First of all, I understood that my child wasn’t bad, naughty, or malicious. I now realize there’s more to his behavior; perhaps he’s hungry, tired, or bored. I recognized that I needed to start with myself first because my reactions, anger, and frustration were disproportionate to the situation. I learned how to handle specific, challenging situations, and now I can enjoy a good, close relationship with my 5-year-old. ❤️ Thank you!

I am a very impulsive person and I have sometimes burst out and shouted at my child. I felt bad later and was frustrated that I couldn’t react differently in difficult situations. Now it's different. I make sure that my and my child’s basic needs are met and it is much easier. I talk to my son a lot, hug him, translate and I see the results. He surprised me very positively several times.
